Privacy Policy

BabyMatch ("the app", "we", "us") is a mobile app that helps couples and individuals discover baby names together. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what choices you have.

Who is responsible for your data

BabyMatch is developed by Joaquín Ocampo (operating under the name SmartIn, not yet a registered legal entity). For any privacy question or request, contact joaquinocampo18@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Account information. You can use BabyMatch anonymously (no personal data is collected), or sign in with Google or Apple. If you sign in, the provider shares your email address, display name, and a unique account identifier with us through Firebase Authentication — we don't see or store your password.

App content you create. To make Couple Mode work, we store:

• The room code that pairs you with your partner.
• Which names you swiped and liked, and which character card was drawn for each — kept private until both partners like the same name (a "match").
• Your premium status, if you purchase the one-time upgrade.

None of this is information about an actual child — it's the list of candidate names you're considering, tied to your account.

Advertising data. The free version of BabyMatch shows ads served by Google AdMob. To do this, Google may collect device identifiers (such as your device's advertising ID) and may show personalized ads based on your activity. See Google's ad policy and Google's Privacy Policy for details. On iOS, you'll be asked for tracking permission the first time this applies, per Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

Purchases. The premium upgrade is a one-time purchase processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment card details.

How we use this information

• To operate core features: pairing you with your partner, syncing swipes, and detecting matches.
• To remember your premium status across sessions and devices.
• To show ads that keep the free version running.
• To diagnose bugs and improve the app.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the app, each bound by their own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase — authentication and database hosting (data stored in the EU, Madrid region).
• Google AdMob — serving ads in the free version.
• Apple / Google — sign-in and, for premium, payment processing.

We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and room data for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing joaquinocampo18@gmail.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain uses of it (for example, personalized ads). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email above.

Children's privacy

BabyMatch is intended for parents and prospective parents choosing a name — not for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We rely on Firebase's infrastructure and access controls to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
